Position Summary:
At the direction of the Food Service Director, the Sanitization Aide will prepare food for childcare and adult care programs and special events graciously to uphold and further the mission of St. Ann Center.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Wash dishes and put them away. Clean floors using mop & bucket. Follow procedures established by the Food Service Department when cleaning to ensure safe and sanitary conditions. Maintain Safe-Serve Certification. Prepare snacks for childcare and adults. Assist with stocking food deliveries. Help serve lunch carts. Set up trays. Take garbage & boxes out. Keep track of temps. Perform daily cleaning tasks, deep cleaning as needed or directed.
Education/Training :
High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of food service experience Serv-Safe certification
Skills/Abilities :
Team worker Communications Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control. Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions. Ability to understand and follow safety procedures. Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies. Ability to frequently push/pull/lift/move objects weighing up to 35 pounds, and occasionally push/pull/move food carts weighing over 50 pounds. Knowledge of food service lines set-up and temperature requirements. Skill in cooking and preparing a variety of foods. Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards.
