Dietary 1. Summary of thePosition:
Performs a variety of dietary duties pertaining to the daily operation of the dietary department. 2.Key Responsibilities:
Pulling food trucks which weigh approximately 400-500lbs. Working 1 of 4 different positions in the dish room - 2 times per shift. Understanding the daily menus and setting up residents diet trays accurately delivering nourishments and evening snacks to all sections of the nursing home. Restocking juice cart daily for morning shift. Performs any other duties as directed by the Dietary Manager or Evening Supervisor. Adheres to all sanitation and health standards at Good Shepherd Nursing Home LC. Must be able to place diet cards in order and be able to set them up for next meal. Dresses in a clean manner and uses proper hygiene. 3. Experience/Education High school graduate, high school student or equivalence of a G.E.D. Job Description - Dietary Aide (1-9) (con't) 4.Mental/Physical Requirements:
Must be able to read and clearly understand menus and tray cards. Prolonged standing is a requirement 75% of a work day. Heavy lifting is a requirement 25-50lbs. Pulling food trucks, approximate weight 400-500lbs. Bending is a requirement when working in dish room and cleaning. Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime if needed. 5.Working Conditions :
Works under conditions of sudden changes in temperature when entering refrigerated areas or working around serving counters and cooking equipment. Subject to burns from hot foods and utensils, cuts from knives, and the possibility of injury from falls on slippery floors. 7. QAPI Recognize your role as part of the QAPI efforts of your organization. Attend trainings to build understanding and capacity to undertake QAPI work. Carry out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned. Follow established policies and procedures in support of QAPI efforts. Look for and share with leadership ideas for improvement in the organization. Communicate to leadership upon witnessing a positive outcomes of a QAPI project or detecting barriers preventing project success. Support QAPI efforts both verbally and non-verbally (i.e., via actions and attitude), including adjusting performance and practice in accordance with QAPI initiatives and findings.Similar jobs in Wheeling, WV
