This vital role involves managing nutrition programs, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and fostering a positive environment that promotes healthy eating habits. You will oversee dietary operations and develop innovative strategies to improve nutritional outcomes for children. You will collect, compile, and report on various program data, including but not limited to
CACFP/USDA
information. The CNP Manager assists with operating a food service program within state and federally mandated guidelines as well as assists with direction, planning, monitoring, and oversight of CACFP (Child/Adult Care Food Program), with the goal of providing healthy, nutritious meals and food preparation services within GRECS programs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Proven experience in assisted living or child care settings with a focus on nutritional services or dietetics. Demonstrated experience within dietary or nutrition departments. Demonstrated knowledge of
CACFP/CNP
within Alabama within the previous 5 years ServSafe certification, or willingness to obtain Expertise in food safety management practices and implementing food safety protocols within a dietary environment. Knowledge of health regulation policies affecting child nutrition programs Excellent administrative organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of ProCare and/or ChildPlus software is a plus!
