For over 30 years, our goal has been to offer quality care and customer service to our residents as well as their families. Currently, we are seeking a knowledgeable, charismatic Registered Dietitian to join our staff. The main responsibilities for this role are planning and directing the overall operation of the Food and Nutrition Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards as well the rules and regulations governing the facility. The ideal candidate for this position has great organizational skills, is knowledgeable, and able to work as part of a team. Job Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive assessments of the nutritional needs of each resident. Assist Dietary Manager with administrative duties including hiring Food Service personnel Work with the Discharge Planning Coordinator in planning the Food and Nutrition Services portion fo the resident's discharge plan. Participation in interdisciplinary meetings. Completion of Quality Assurance assessments. Manage facility budget and inventory. Monitor Food and Nutrition Services personnel to ensure that they are following established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university Licensed with the State of Alabama 1-year experience in long-term care preferred Must be knowledgeable of food an nutrition practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary functions in long-term care facilities Willing to seek out new methods and principles to incorporate into existing dietary practices Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action Able to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with the residents, personnel, and other supporting agencies
