In this vital role, you will support the management of dietary services within an assisted living environment, ensuring residents receive nutritious, personalized meals that meet their health needs and dietary preferences. Your leadership will help foster a positive dining experience while maintaining compliance with health regulations and budgetary guidelines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to impact residents' quality of life through expert nutritional care and team collaboration. Responsibilities Assist in developing and implementing care plans that incorporate specialized diets, including tube feeding and other medical nutrition therapies Supervise dietary staff, providing guidance on food preparation, safety standards, and resident-specific requirements Conduct patient assessments to tailor meal plans based on individual health conditions, physiology, and nutritional needs Oversee food service operations, ensuring timely delivery of meals and adherence to quality standards Support management in budgeting, inventory control, and procurement processes for dietary supplies Educate residents and staff on nutrition best practices and health coaching strategies to promote overall wellness Ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to assisted living facilities and dietary department protocols Experience Prior experience (2 Years +) working in assisted living or long-term care settings with a focus on dietary services Demonstrated supervising or leadership experience within a dietary department or healthcare environment Knowledge of dietetics principles, physiology, and medical nutrition therapy such as IDDSI level mechanical and puree diets. Familiarity with managing care plans for residents with diverse health conditions Proven ability to oversee food safety procedures, manage budgets, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams Strong understanding of nutrition science, patient assessment techniques, and care plan development Experience in managing dietary operations while maintaining high standards of quality and resident satisfaction
