Job Description:

The Dietary Director at our skilled nursing home plays a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our residents through the management of the dietary department. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising all aspects of the facility's dietary program. This includes menu planning, food preparation, procurement, and compliance with regulatory guidelines. The Dietary Director will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to meet the nutritional needs of residents, promote their overall health, and enhance their quality of life. Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments to determine their dietary needs and restrictions
• Develop and implement individualized meal plans based on patient assessments
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress and make necessary adjustments to meal plans
• Provide education and counseling to patients on proper nutrition and dietary habits
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure dietary goals are met
• Assist with tube feeding administration and monitoring for patients who require it
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations to identify nutritional deficiencies or other dietary concerns

Qualifications:

• DSS/CDM/DTR

  certification
• Experience working in a healthcare or assisted living setting is a plus
• Strong knowledge of nutrition principles and dietary guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
