  • Full-time Institutes of Health is seeking a Clinical Nutrition Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team serving patients with chronic pain, brain injuries, and/or PTSD in an intensive outpatient program.
This is a hands-on role that blends individual nutrition counseling with group education, culinary leadership, and team collaboration — including some sessions delivered via telehealth. What you'll do: Conduct nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients managing chronic pain, brain injury, and/or PTSD Provide nutrition counseling and group education sessions, including via telehealth Lead and direct a culinary team in daily meal preparation for patients, including breakfast and lunch service Facilitate cooking demonstrations and meal preparation sessions with patients as part of the clinical program Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, physical therapists, and other clinicians to support integrated patient care Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, care plans, and patient progress in the EMR system What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, Public Health, or a related field (master's degree a plus) Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential welcome but not required — candidates with a strong nutrition background and relevant experience are encouraged to apply Culinary or kitchen experience preferred; comfort leading meal preparation with patients is a plus Bilingual in Spanish and English required Strong communication skills and ability to educate diverse patient populations Experience working in a clinical, rehabilitation, or multidisciplinary healthcare setting a plus Proficient in or able to learn EMR documentation systems Why join us: You'll work alongside a dedicated team of clinicians in a collaborative, inclusive environment focused on meaningful recovery outcomes.
