Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nutritionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dietetics, physiology, and patient-centered care, with a passion for promoting health and wellness through tailored nutritional strategies. As a Nutritionist, you will play a vital role in assessing patient needs, developing comprehensive care plans, and providing expert guidance to support optimal health outcomes across diverse clinical settings. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status, medical history, and dietary needs. Develop personalized nutrition care plans that align with medical diagnoses, treatment goals, and individual preferences. Provide expert guidance on specialized nutrition interventions such as tube feeding and weight management programs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate nutrition strategies into overall patient care, especially in acute care and long-term care environments. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly to ensure effective nutritional support. Educate patients and caregivers on proper dietary practices, including management of geriatrics, weight loss, and chronic conditions. Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately. Supervise junior staff or interns in nutrition-related tasks while fostering a collaborative learning environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; registration or certification from a recognized dietetic association is preferred. Extensive experience in hospital settings or dietary departments with familiarity in acute care and long-term care environments. Strong knowledge of physiology related to digestion, metabolism, and disease processes affecting nutrition. Proven experience with dietary management techniques including tube feeding and care plan development. Competence in diagnostic evaluation of nutritional deficiencies or imbalances. Hands-on experience with EMR systems for documentation and patient tracking. Demonstrated skills in health coaching, patient assessment, and developing effective dietary interventions.
