  • Full-time Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Dietary Supervisor, where you will lead and oversee the dietary services within a vibrant Skilled Nursing environment.
In this vital role, you will ensure that residents receive nutritious, well-balanced meals tailored to their individual health needs while maintaining compliance with all safety and health regulations. Your leadership will foster a positive, collaborative atmosphere in the dietary department, promoting optimal nutrition and overall well-being for our residents. Responsibilities Supervise daily operations of the dietary department, ensuring efficient meal preparation and service Develop, implement, and monitor care plans focused on residents' nutritional needs and health goals Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate dietary modifications, including tube feeding and specialized diets Oversee food safety protocols, hygiene standards, and compliance with regulatory guidelines Manage dietary staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team environment Collaborate with healthcare professionals to evaluate diagnostic results and adjust nutrition plans accordingly Monitor budgetary expenses related to food procurement, staffing, and supplies to ensure cost-effective operations Provide health coaching to residents on nutrition and wellness strategies to promote healthy lifestyles Supervise meal planning that aligns with residents' physiological requirements and personal preferences Cover cook as needed Skills Extensive knowledge of dietetics, physiology, and nutrition principles applicable to assisted living populations Proven leadership experience in supervising dietary or healthcare teams within a healthcare or assisted living setting Strong understanding of patient assessment techniques and care plan development Experience with tube feeding management and diagnostic evaluation of nutritional needs Ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality service standards Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating residents on health topics Familiarity with dietary department operations, including food safety regulations and health coaching methodologies Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, manage schedules, and foster a positive team environment This role is perfect for passionate professionals eager to lead with expertise in dietetics while making a tangible difference in residents' lives.
