Our 60-bed facilities specialize in caring for individuals with critical or chronic complex medical conditions who require extended recovery periods. Kentfield Hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including cardiac care, neuro recovery, respiratory support, advanced wound care, and physical/occupational therapy. Each patient receives a personalized treatment plan designed to support their unique recovery journey. POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the quality of nutritional care provided to both hospitalized and ambulatory patients. Performs nutritional assessments/evaluations and makes dietary recommendations. Provides patient counseling and education. Develops nutritional care, and monitors and implements changes as appropriate. Implements nutrition therapy orders and verifies implementation of orders. Monitors and evaluates patient's adherence to, acceptance of, and tolerance for prescribed nutrition therapy. Re-evaluates/updates nutrition care on a regular basis. Accountable for the planning and directing of the nutrition office. This is a Full Time position based in our San Francisco facility.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required. Current, valid, and active license and/or certification to practice as a Registered Dietitian in the state of employment required. If state licensure and/or certification is not state mandated must be credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred Current BLS certification from a Kentfield-approved vendor preferred. Knowledge in modern principles and practices of dietetics preferred. Knowledge in safety and sanitation standards applicable to hospital food service preferred. Ability to project a professional image. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions. Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSURES, REGISTRATIONS
Current, valid, and active license and/or certification to practice as a Registered Dietitian in the state of employment required. Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required. Current BLS certification from a Kentfield-approved vendor preferred.
SALARY:
$41.14 - $45.42 hourly rate. Compensation is based on experience.
