Registered Dietitian Bayview Senior Services San Francisco, CA Job Details Part-time From $45 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Collaborate with healthcare professionals Teamwork Working with individuals with disabilities Multidisciplinary team collaboration for treatment planning Disease state management Dietetics Registered Dietitian Food service management Full Job Description Registered Dietitian (Part-Time/Flexible Hours) Bayview Hunters Point Adult Day Health Center San Francisco, CA Job Overview Bayview Hunters Point Adult Day Health Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Dietitian (RD) to support the health and well-being of older adults and individuals with disabilities enrolled in our Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) program. This position plays a vital role in providing nutritional assessments, individualized care planning, nutrition education, and interdisciplinary collaboration to promote positive health outcomes and quality of life for our participants. This is a flexible, part-time position requiring approximately 10 hours per month based on program needs and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive initial nutritional assessments and required reassessments for participants Develop, implement, and update individualized nutrition care plans Monitor participant nutritional status and recommend appropriate interventions Provide nutrition counseling and education to participants, families, and caregivers Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with healthcare professionals Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements Complete reassessments following significant changes in participant condition or hospitalization Oversee nutrition services and meal program compliance Monitor food service operations for adherence to nutritional standards, food safety, and sanitation requirements Ensure compliance with California Title 22 regulations and Adult Day Health Care standards Support quality improvement initiatives and program evaluations Perform other duties as assigned to support participant care and program operations
Qualifications Required:
Registered Dietitian (RD) credential in good standing through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Current registration and proof of credentialing Strong knowledge of nutrition science, medical nutrition therapy, and disease management Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team
Preferred:
Minimum one (1) year of clinical nutrition experience Experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, or in healthcare settings Familiarity with Adult Day Health Care regulations and standards Skills & Competencies Nutritional assessment and care planning Medical nutrition therapy Nutrition education and counseling Regulatory compliance and documentation Time management and organization Participant-centered care Professional judgment and confidentiality Interdisciplinary collaboration Schedule Flexible schedule Approximately 10 hours per month Hours may vary based on participant census and program needs Why Join Us?
