$45.00•$50.00 / hour, depending on experience
Schedule Requirements:
Tuesdays:
10:30 AM•12:00 PM (Virtual Staff Meeting)
Wednesdays:
2:15 PM•7:00 PM (In-Person at San Rafael Clinic)
About Us:
Amrita Eating Disorder Treatment Center offers a safe place for compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based treatment for adolescents and adults of all genders. We provide Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) levels of care for eating disorders, including Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), ARFID, and OSFED.
Job Summary:
The eating disorder Registered Dietitian (RD) is responsible for providing nutritional services to clients in our IOP and PHP programs. As a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, the RD will perform direct clinical services, including individual and family consultation, nutritional assessments, meal planning, and facilitating meal and education groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform intake evaluations and design individualized meal plans for clients during the admission process. Identify problem areas in dietary needs and collaborate with clinical staff to help clients overcome specific food-related challenges. Document pertinent observations and progress relating to dietary treatment in clients' charts. Facilitate Wednesday snack and dinner meal groups, which includes assisting clients with meal setup, portioning, and post-meal cleanup. Assist in maintaining a sanitary and clean environment in the program kitchen. Facilitate a weekly nutrition education group, utilizing and developing educational tools to teach practical skills needed for re-feeding and recovery. Meet with 1-2 weeky clients for a 50-minute individual/family appointment to address issues related to their dietary program and recovery plan. Attend weekly multidisciplinary staff meetings to provide dietary guidance in treatment planning. Assist in developing comprehensive discharge plans with structured dietary guidelines.
Qualifications:
Must hold at least a Bachelor's Degree in food, nutrition, or dietary sciences. Must have a current registration as a dietitian (R.D.) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) in good standing. Must carry active professional malpractice insurance. Demonstrated experience and familiarity with eating disorders and the specific clinical issues related to re-feeding and recovery from Anorexia, ARFID, Binge Eating Disorder, Bulimia, and OSFED..
