Job Description

Registered Dietitian (RD) Santa Cruz Post Acute Full‑Time | Benefited Position Starting at $55/hour DOE Santa Cruz Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and clinically strong Registered Dietitian to join our interdisciplinary care team. This full‑time, benefitted role is ideal for a dietitian who is passionate about improving quality of life for post‑acute and long‑term care residents. Position Summary The Registered Dietitian is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing individualized nutrition care plans in accordance with federal, state, and facility regulations. You will collaborate closely with nursing, physicians, and therapy teams to support resident health, recovery, and wellness. Key Responsibilities Assess residents' nutritional needs and develop individualized care plans Monitor nutritional status and modify interventions as needed Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and facility nutrition standards Provide nutrition education to residents, families, and staff Document assessments and interventions accurately and timely Qualifications Registered Dietitian credential (RD/RDN) required Current California license or eligibility for licensure Experience in skilled nursing or post‑acute care preferred Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑based environment Compensation & Benefits Starting at $55/hour, depending on experience (DOE) Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision Paid time off (PTO) & holidays 401(k) options Supportive leadership and collaborative team culture Location Santa Cruz, CA
