Full Job Description Role Overview:
No need to go far to change the world•one patient at a time. Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic clinical team at PIH Health Hospital in Whittier CA. PIH Health Whittier is a 523 licensed bed acute care hospital with an average census of 320 patients and located only 12 miles southeast of Los Angeles, CA. What You'll Do:
Provide comprehensive inpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), including nutrition assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation for patients with a wide range of disease states Deliver nutrition education to patients and families, and collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff to support optimal patient outcomes Educate and precept healthcare interns and students, providing guidance on evidence‑based nutrition care strategies and clinical best practices

What You Bring:
Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required or RD‑eligible with the ability to obtain certification Demonstrated ability to problem‑solve creatively, work independently with minimal supervision, and make sound decisions in a self‑directed, team‑oriented environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, clinicians, and interdisciplinary teams Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities in a fast‑paced clinical setting Prior experience with nutrition documentation in Altera strongly preferred; organization transitioning to Epic in early 2027 Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
