Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Dietitian, where your expertise will directly impact patient health and well-being. In this vital role, you will develop personalized nutrition care plans, conduct comprehensive patient assessments, and provide expert guidance across diverse clinical settings. Your passion for nutrition and dedication to patient-centered care will help promote optimal health outcomes, especially in acute care, geriatrics, and long-term care environments. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your dietetics knowledge while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional nutritional services. Duties Assess patients' nutritional needs through detailed evaluations, including medical history, dietary habits, and physiological data. Develop and implement individualized care plans focusing on weight management, disease management, tube feeding protocols, and recovery strategies. Provide expert nutrition counseling and health coaching to support lifestyle changes such as weight loss or chronic disease management. Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns within the dietary department to ensure quality standards are maintained. Manage and document patient progress using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring accurate and timely updates. Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate diagnostic evaluations and adjust nutrition interventions accordingly. Oversee the preparation of specialized diets for patients requiring tube feeding or other specialized nutritional support in hospital or long-term care settings. Skills Extensive knowledge of physiology and its application to clinical nutrition practices. Proven experience in supervising dietary staff or interns within a healthcare environment. Strong background in dietetics principles, including the development of care plans for diverse populations such as geriatrics or acute care patients. Proficiency with EMR systems for documentation and patient record management. Skilled in conducting patient assessments and implementing nutrition strategies for weight loss, disease management, or rehabilitation. Experience with dietary department operations within hospital or long-term care facilities. Ability to deliver effective health coaching tailored to individual needs and motivational levels.
