- Saturdays 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Remedy Therapy is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our Team.
Position Purpose:
The Clinical Dietitian is part of multidisciplinary team, specializing in eating disorders and mental health in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing individualized nutrition interventions for patients struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating behaviors, and co-occurring mental health conditions. The dietitian will work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care.Qualifications/Position Requirements:
1.Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field preferred. Or a combination of education and experience may be considered and replace education requirement. 2.Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in clinical nutrition, preferably in eating disorders or mental health settings. Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and providing trauma-informed care. 3.Certification/Licensure:
Clear and Valid FL Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) required; Certified Eating Disorders Registered Dietitian (CEDRD) preferred. 4. Training and Knowledge Required atTime of Hire:
Knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and family-based treatment (FBT) approaches is a plus. Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high-stress environments. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR systems. 5.Age-Specific Individuals Served/Responsibility:
Adults (18+ years) 6.Security Measures and Clearance:
Minimum requirement is a local background and Level 2 (AHCA) screening.Employment Classification:

1. Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans (NCPs) tailored to medical, psychological, and behavioral needs. 2. Support patients in structured meal plans and group meal support sessions. 3. Conduct group nutrition education sessions on topics such as emotional eating, mindful eating, and nutrition for mental health. 4. Utilize proper Infection Control procedures such as: proper handwashing, personal protective equipment (PPE), proper cough and sneeze etiquette, temperature checks on food and refrigeration, etc. 5. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements.Position Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:
1.Core:
a. Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients with eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, ARFID, and other disordered eating patterns b. Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to support weight restoration, metabolic stability, and mindful eating habits c. Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting nutrition plans as needed to meet clinical goals d. Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, physicians, nurses, and social workers to ensure integrated, holistic care e. Support patients in meal planning, food exposure therapy, and mindful/intuitive eating approaches f. Educate and empower patients on healthy relationships with food, body image, and self-care practices g. Provide nutritional interventions for patients in higher levels of care (residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs) h. Conduct weekly weight monitoring and metabolic assessments as part of a team-based treatment approach i. Assist in tube feeding and medical stabilization when necessary for severely malnourished patients j. Conduct one-on-one nutrition counseling in an outpatient clinic for patients transitioning from inpatient care or managing long-term recovery k. Develop personalized meal planning strategies for sustainable recovery l. Educate patients, families, and staff on the role of nutrition in mental health and eating disorder recovery m. Provide family-based nutrition counseling to educate and involve caregivers in patient recovery n. Stay up to date on current research and best practices in eating disorder treatment o. Participate in staff training, workshops, and community outreach to promote awareness and support for eating disorders p. Advocate for weight-neutral, non-diet approaches in patient care, such as Health at Every Size (HAES®) and intuitive eating 2.Administrative:
