As our Clinical Dietitian, you will coordinate all phases of nutrition care including nutrition assessment, care planning, monitoring, education and counseling of hospitalized patients and outpatients in a variety of settings. You will also perform duties in support of and in compliance with performance improvement plans, JCAHO, and other licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies. • You will demonstrate responsibility and accountability in planning and organizing the nutritional care of patients.
• You will assess patient nutritional needs, diet restrictions, etc. to develop and implement dietary care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
• You will develop measurable short and long-term nutritional goals and evaluate to desired outcomes.
• You will ensure the accurate calculation of nutritional needs based upon individual therapeutic need.
• You will ensure documentation in medical record is timely, accurate and in accordance with PCD guidelines.
• You will monitor and inspect meal service for conformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance.
• You will participate in rounding and proactively respond to patient needs to improve patient outcomes that will positively affect the overall patient experience.
• You will contribute to a culture of patient centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment.

What Qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition, or comparable major.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Registered Dietitian in an acute care environment OR successful completion of coordinated program or dietetic internship of not less than 900 hours under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian.
• Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) by the Florida Board of Dietetics and Nutrition; Registered dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
