Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team, committed to promoting optimal nutrition and wellness for diverse patient populations. In this vital role, you will assess individual nutritional needs, develop personalized care plans, and provide expert guidance to improve health outcomes. Your expertise will support patients across various settings, including acute care, long-term care, geriatrics, and hospital environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through evidence-based nutrition interventions and compassionate care. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status, including diagnostic evaluations and physiological considerations. Develop and implement tailored nutrition care plans that address specific health conditions such as weight management, tube feeding, or chronic illnesses. Provide expert counseling on health coaching topics like weight loss, dietary modifications, and lifestyle changes to support long-term wellness goals. Supervise and mentor dietetic interns or junior staff members, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and best practices in dietetics. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate nutrition services within hospital or long-term care settings, ensuring seamless patient care delivery. Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems effectively for documentation, tracking progress, and updating patient records accurately. Educate patients on nutrition principles related to geriatrics, acute care, or specialized diets such as tube feeding or dietary restrictions. Experience Proven experience working as a Registered Dietitian in hospital or healthcare environments with a focus on acute care and geriatrics. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology related to digestion, metabolism, and nutritional needs across diverse populations. Supervising experience in clinical or dietary department settings is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with nutrition management for patients requiring tube feeding or specialized dietary plans. Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient documentation and patient tracking. Long-term care experience is preferred, especially working with geriatric populations requiring comprehensive nutritional support. Strong background in health coaching techniques aimed at weight loss and lifestyle modifications to promote sustained health improvements.
