Adult Relief Clinical Dietitian I/ Dietitian II 🔍 Iowa City, Iowa, United States New 📁 Hospitality/Housekeeping/Food Service 📅    15 hours ago Post Date 📅    25004042 Requisition # Apply for Job Share this Job Sign Up for Job Alerts The University of Iowa Health Care department of Food & Nutrition is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to Use Nutrition Care Process to assess, evaluate, and provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling for adult and geriatric inpatients and outpatients. Teaches dietetic students. Participates in multidisciplinary teams and develops nutritional components of care. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the patient's status according to age. Provides quality patient care including nutrition screening, evaluation, assessment, treatment, and documentation of patient care plan appropriate for patient. Educates students with on-the-job training. Evaluates students Provides students with necessary support and assistance to ensure work is completed. Assesses nutrition status and instructs/counsels' patient on appropriate diet. Participate as part of the medical team concerning problems affecting patients' food habits and needs and participate in health team rounds concerning patient care. Assist in the implementation of studies and short-term projects. Performs special projects as assigned. Participates as active member of departmental/hospital committees. Review and analyze production, maintenance of standards, costs and personnel utilization records to evaluate progress of work and to control or reduce costs. Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public. Participate in multidisciplinary teams and develops nutritional components of care. Assists other dietitians as needed. Candidates registered prior to January 1, 2024, a bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition or Dietetics is required. Licensure by the State of Iowa is required. Registration by the Commission of Dietetic Registration is required. Excellent written and communication skills are required. Dietitian II Minimum Eligibility Requirements A masters degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration is required Licensure by the State of Iowa is required. Reasonable (3-5 years) clinical nutrition experience is required Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in making enteral and parental recommendations and selecting appropriate formulas Demonstrated competency of patient care in adult and geriatric populations across a wide range of medical conditions in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
