Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Shift Must be able to work a non-standard work week - Monday - Sunday with some overtime and holiday work. Must be able to travel overnight Job Summary Works with the performance team to educate football & Olympic sport student-athletes on nutrition for optimum performance. Provides nutrition education and outreach to student-athletes, coaches, and staff. Provides individual nutrition counseling & educational services to student-athletes. Develops menus, works closely with food service staff to provide nutritionally appropriate meals. Provides team talks; cooking classes; nutrition education & intervention at meal times. Supervises appropriate staff. Communicates with athletic trainers, strength & conditioning coaches, sport coaches, physicians, & student-athletes. Reviews and evaluates current dietetics literature regarding proper nutrition for student-athletes. Provides oversight of the Sports Nutrition budget relating to fuel zones and assigned teams. Oversees staff. Maintains food safety standards for Federal, State & Local Food Safety Regulations. Must be able to comply with all SEC, University and NCAA rules and regulations. Team Travel as requested.
