Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert nutritional guidance and personalized care plans to diverse patient populations, including those in acute care, geriatrics, long-term care, and specialized settings. Your expertise will support patients' health goals through comprehensive assessments, tailored nutrition interventions, and ongoing education. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes while working within a collaborative and dynamic environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status, medical history, and dietary needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans that align with patients' health conditions and recovery goals. Provide expert guidance on nutrition strategies for weight management, disease management, and recovery processes. Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition, dietary modifications, and lifestyle changes to promote long-term health. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting care plans as needed based on diagnostic evaluations and clinical feedback. Collaborate with medical teams to coordinate nutrition care in various settings such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, or outpatient clinics. Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns in dietetics practices while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards. Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems efficiently to document assessments, interventions, and progress notes. Stay current with advancements in physiology knowledge, dietary guidelines, and clinical practices related to dietetics. Skills Proven experience in supervising dietetic staff or interns within healthcare environments. Strong knowledge of physiology as it relates to nutrition, digestion, metabolism, and disease processes. Expertise in managing tube feeding protocols and creating specialized nutrition support plans. Skilled in developing comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs across various age groups including geriatrics. Experience with diagnostic evaluation techniques to inform nutritional interventions effectively. Extensive background in hospital settings with a focus on acute care nutrition management. Proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation and communication within multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of dietary department operations within healthcare facilities. Familiarity with weight loss programs and patient assessment strategies for diverse populations. Strong communication skills for health coaching and patient education initiatives focused on lifestyle modifications.
