Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dietary Manager to lead our dietary services within an skilled nursing and rehabilitation. This pivotal role involves overseeing meal planning, nutrition management, and staff supervision to ensure residents receive high-quality, personalized dietary care. The Dietary Manager will coordinate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans that promote residents' health, well-being, and nutritional needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on residents' lives through expert dietary oversight and leadership. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans focusing on residents' nutritional requirements and health goals. Supervise the dietary department staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to maintain high standards of service. Conduct patient assessments to determine dietary needs, including specialized diets such as tube feeding or diagnostic evaluations. Manage food preparation processes ensuring compliance with safety standards, dietary guidelines, and budget constraints. Oversee meal service operations, ensuring timely delivery of nutritious meals that meet residents' preferences and health conditions. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to evaluate residents' progress and adjust care plans accordingly. Maintain accurate documentation related to dietary services, including care plans, incident reports, and departmental records. Experience Proven management experience within a dietary department or similar healthcare setting. Demonstrated supervising experience with staff in assisted living or healthcare environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, dietetics principles, and care plan development. Experience with patient assessment techniques and specialized diets such as tube feeding or other medical nutrition therapies. Familiarity with budgeting processes related to food service operations and resource management. Knowledge of health coaching strategies to promote healthy eating habits among residents. Prior involvement in diagnostic evaluation processes and creating tailored care plans for diverse resident needs. Pay:
