Practices within Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Standards of Professional Practice and Performance in the application of the nutrition care process (NCP).

Essential Functions:
Practice as a competent clinical nutrition practitioner in the application of the NCP and theory. Utilizes the NCP to provide nutrition care, nutrition assessments and implements nutrition plans of care based on evidence-based practice and patient's goals of care Demonstrate credibility as a competent clinical nutrition practitioner within the interprofessional team and organization. Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to promote patient/client wellness, health maintenance, and/or intervene in acute or chronic illness. Provides nutrition-related education tailored to the patients age, language, and understanding and documents plan in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) using the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standardized NCP language. Supports the needs of the department/facility/organization to facilitate essential operations as needed or directed by leadership. Uses resources and shares nutrition information with various audiences, which may include presentations, publications, media, social media, and community outreach opportunities. Completes other responsibilities as requested and/or assigned by the Clinical Nutrition Manager
Qualifications:
Individuals earning the RDN credentialed after 1/2024 must hold a Master's Degree. Bachelor's Degree acceptable if RDN credentialing was obtained prior to 1/2024 Must be credentialed as a ed Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed as a Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN) per respective state's licensing statutes and regulation.
