We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join our long-term care team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing residents' nutritional needs, developing individualized nutrition care plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote optimal health, wellness, and quality of life for our residents. Position Summary The Registered Dietitian provides clinical nutrition services for residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. This position plays a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting quality outcomes, and enhancing resident satisfaction through effective nutrition management. Responsibilities Complete nutrition assessments for new admissions and residents at nutritional risk. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans. Conduct routine nutrition screenings and quarterly reviews. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, speech therapy, and other healthcare professionals regarding resident nutritional needs. Monitor weight trends, laboratory values, wounds, and other nutrition-related indicators. Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents, families, and staff as needed. Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions. Review menus to ensure nutritional adequacy and regulatory compliance. Assist with survey preparation and maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations. Monitor food service operations and recommend improvements to support resident satisfaction and clinical outcomes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field. Current registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Current state licensure/certification as required. Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and clinical assessment skills. Knowledge of CMS regulations, MDS documentation, and nutrition standards of practice preferred.
