Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in nutrition and dietetics, with experience in patient assessment, care planning, and clinical nutrition management. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient health outcomes through personalized nutritional guidance and comprehensive care. The Registered Dietitian will collaborate closely with medical staff and support the dietary department to deliver high-quality nutritional services across various care settings. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate nutritional needs, medical conditions, and dietary restrictions. Develop individualized care plans that incorporate evidence-based nutrition strategies for diverse populations, including geriatrics and acute care patients. Provide expert guidance on specialized nutrition interventions such as tube feeding, weight management, and disease-specific diets. Offer health coaching to empower patients in making sustainable lifestyle changes related to nutrition and wellness. Supervise and mentor dietary staff, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and quality standards within the department. Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document assessments, care plans, and progress notes accurately. Collaborate with healthcare teams to facilitate diagnostic evaluations and optimize nutritional support for complex cases. Stay current with advancements in physiology, nutrition science, and dietetics practices to enhance service delivery. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; registration with a recognized dietetic registration board is required. Proven experience working as a Registered Dietitian within hospital or long-term care environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, clinical nutrition, and dietary management techniques. Demonstrated expertise in supervising staff and managing dietary operations effectively. Experience with EMR systems and documentation standards for healthcare settings. Familiarity with tube feeding protocols, care plans, and diagnostic evaluation procedures. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to develop practical, individualized nutrition strategies. Knowledge of geriatrics, weight loss programs, acute care protocols, and dietary department operations is highly desirable.
