Duties Help Duties Include:

Serving as a professional and technical advisor to staff and other health care professionals. Responsible for a full range of personnel management, administrive controls, and all processes reled to the canteen and pient dining operions. Responsible for taining financial goals and implementing program objectives as established by VCSCO and the Region Director. Coordining policies and procedures with clinical nutrition management, nursing, and other services as applicable. Monitoring compliance with regulory standards, policies, and procedures while overseeing the technology used for meal production, meal service, and temperure control. Completing internal audits of food service and production, as well as routine kitchen inspections. Implement and manage any plan to address and resolve deficiencies. Evaluing food operions to ensure proper allocion of resources and ensuring budgetary requirements are met. Collaboring with the clinical nutrition staff, bridging the work of Nutrition Food Services (NFS) with the nutritional care plans for Veterans. Managing VHA-supported software programs and/or commercial off-the-shelf software (COTS) to support the effective management of food operions and pient meal services. Developing and maintaining training and reference merials for the nutrition and food service staff. Coordining all aspects of training reled to computer systems, menus, and informics for NFS employees. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Requires current registrion as a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN), with a minimum of 1 year of experience. Verificion of credentials must be provided. Able to demonstre successful opering accomplishments and possess excellent leadership and managerial skills. Skill in applying nutritional knowledge to ensure menus meet nutrition standards. Ability to utilize Evidence-Based Nutrition Practice Guidelines to develop, implement, and coordine best practices and to ensure compliance. A proven leader who can effectively plan, organize, delege, direct, control, and review activities and performance. Capacity to interpret da and transle insights into actionable decisions. A current, valid REAL ID is required to work Veterans Canteen Service.
