The Role at a glance:
We are looking to add an experienced Part-Time Registered Dietitian to our team in Rolla, MO . As a Part-Time Registered Dietitian with Elior North America , you will have the AMAZING opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals' nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient's/resident's goals. We offer extensive benefits that not only help you, but your loved ones as well! •This position will be schedule 1 day on-site on Friday's in Rolla, MO• What you'll be doing: Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants. Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements. Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition. Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
Day-to-Day:
Provide Nutrition Assessments for admissions, quarterly assessments, annual assessments, tube feedings, weight changes +/-4% in 1 month, wounds, and for significant change assessments (such as a hospice admission or a significant improvement in ADLs) Nutrition education as needed and requested by residents Creation and quarterly updates on care plans for nurses/CNAs/CMAs to reference at meals and snacks to tailor to resident food preferences Completion of MDS (Minimum Data Sheets) for Section K and CAAs Use of the nutrition-focused physical exam to identify residents who meet criteria for malnutrition according to ASPEN Malnutrition Criteria Care conference meetings with families to update them on changes with the resident Collaboration with interdisciplinary team to provide resident-centered care during weekly clinical meetings QAPI Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Meetings each quarter Monthly Kitchen Inspections and Meal Service Audits What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
Bachelor's degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field Master's degree in Nutrition or related field. Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility. Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process. Licensed or certified, per state requirements. Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents' rights. Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.
