Sports nutritionist will support Charlotte FC on a fulltime basis. Professional travel will be required based on soccer schedule. Pay Range $30.70- $46.
- deficiency anemia, vitamin D/calcium status, return from injury, relative energy deficiency in sport, disordered eating, among others.
Conduct sports nutrition-based testing:
Hydration including: pre/post training weights, USG, sweat testing & analysis. Body Composition Testing- DXA, Ultrasound, ISAK/Skinfold, or similar
- interpreting the data and counseling athletes on achieving and maintaining values consistent with maximizing health and performance.
Certification / License
Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in the state of applicable state within 3 months of hire; required temporary license within 30 days to practice per state law. Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) preferred OR within 1 year of hire. CSSD to be maintained thereafter. ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification preferred OR within 1 year of hire. To be maintained thereafter. Work Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in collegiate or professional athletics.Knowledge / Skills
/ Abilities Ability to work a non-standard work week which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, non-traditional work hours, and overnight travel as needed Engage in continuing professional education, especially relevant to sports nutrition, and be willing to participate in research if the opportunity arises and publish findings where possible. Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and policies for dietary supplements such as WADA/USADA, Drug Free Sport and relevant governing bodies. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Requires sitting, standing, reaching, stretching, and lifting 25- 50 pounds.
