Job Description

Registered Dietitian (Federal Contract) Cape May, NJ The United States Coast Guard is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a Federal Contract Opportunity. This role supports a structured training program focused on preparing recruits to meet physical fitness and body composition standards. Contributing directly to mission readiness through performance nutrition, education, and wellness support.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop care plans Provide individual and group nutrition counseling Create meal plans and macronutrient guidelines Monitor progress using measurable health indicators Deliver nutrition education focused on performance and wellness Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Requirements:
Active Registered Dietitian license (New Jersey) Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition (ACEND-accredited) BLS Certification required Strong communication and presentation skills Experience in sports nutrition or weight management preferred
Schedule:
30-40 hours per week 8-hour shifts Monday-Saturday based on program needs
