Job Description

Provides medical nutrition therapy to patients of different age groups using appropriate standards, validated assessment tools and evidence-based standards of practice in accordance with the department's policies. Develops, implements and communicates the patient's nutritional plan of care which are documented in the patient's electronic medical record (EMR). Provides counseling to inpatients and outpatients on their nutritional needs. The Dietitian, Nutrition Support is responsible for the nutritional management of critical care patients. This position is assigned to any critical care unit to provide nutritional services compatible with established standards of practice and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field from an approved college. At least 2 years of critical care clinical experience. Computer Literacy.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
Master's Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics related field is strongly encouraged. Computer proficiency in a Windows environment; working knowledge of MyDining and EPIC.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
Registered Dietician License. National Board of Nutrition Support Certification (CNSC) within one year of hire; Certification renewals within one year of expiration date. If you feel that the above description speaks directly to your strengths and capabilities, then please apply today!
