Job Description

NOW Hiring:
Registered Dietitian Complete Care- Prospect Heights (Hackensack, NJ)
Salary:
$65K-$75K/year based on licensure and experience
Job Type:
Full Time,1st shift (no weekends, no on call)
Registered Dietitian Requirements:
At least one year of experience as a dietician in a nursing home/ skilled nursing environment Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition preferred but not required

Registered Dietitian Responsibilities:
Conduct individual assessments of residents' nutritional status and health conditions (e.g., diabetes, heart disease, malnutrition). Evaluate medical records and dietary histories to identify specific nutritional needs. Design menus that meet the dietary requirements of the residents, taking into account their medical conditions, preferences, and cultural needs. Ensure meals comply with nutritional guidelines, dietary restrictions (e.g., low sodium, gluten-free), and health regulations. Advise nursing staff and caregivers on how to support residents' nutritional needs. Assess the effectiveness of the diet plans and make adjustments when necessary. Ensure all food served meets safety standards, including food handling, storage, and sanitation. Stay updated on regulatory requirements for food service in a healthcare setting (e.g., Health Department guidelines, USDA standards). Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure they follow dietary instructions and food safety practices. Provide guidance to other dietary support staff on food preparation and serving techniques. Maintain accurate records of residents' dietary plans, progress, and any changes in their nutritional status. Document and report any concerns about a resident's diet or health status to the appropriate healthcare providers.
