Job Description

Registered Dietitian Schedule Hours of Operation:
8:00 AM•4:30
PM Work Schedule Options:
8:00 AM•4:00 PM (30-minute lunch), or 8:00 AM•4:30 PM (1-hour lunch) Location Newark, NJ Patient Population Adults (18-64 years) Geriatrics (65+ years) Interview Process Virtual interview Position Summary The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing comprehensive nutrition care, including assessment, intervention, monitoring, and education, in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies. Key Responsibilities Conduct timely nutrition assessments in accordance with applicable state health codes and internal policies, and triage patients to determine appropriate level of care and follow-up. Document all nutrition care using the S.O.A.P. format or other approved documentation standards. Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust nutritional care plans collaboratively with physicians or designated providers. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and discharge planning. Maintain clinical competency through continuing education (minimum of 15 CEUs annually), peer review participation, and cross-training activities. Collaborate on clinical research initiatives with nutrition services leadership and interdisciplinary teams. Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and families, including conditions such as diabetes, heart failure, and obesity. Develop educational materials and tools to support patient understanding and self-management. Maintain accurate documentation and communicate nutrition care plans to the healthcare team, including physicians and clinical leadership. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field Registered Dietitian credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Note:
New Jersey licensure is currently on hold; CDR registration is sufficient. Preferred At least one (1) year of experience as a Registered Dietitian in a healthcare setting (e.g., hospital, long-term care, clinic, or nursing home) #
INT-RN Pay:
$35.00•$40.00 per hour
