Responsible for providing basic nutrition assessments and care planning for patients and residents. Implements business practices in order to uphold hospital mission and values.
Responsibilities:
A day in the life of a Dietitian at Hackensack Meridian Health includes: Directs dietary care of patients with basic nutrition needs including screening, assessment and care planning to ensure patient dietary needs and patient satisfaction levels are met. Educates medical staff and counsels` patients and their families on proper nutritional care. Manages and promotes food and nutrition programs according to Hackensack Meridian Health standards and policies. Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, nutrition care, special diets and menu requests. Stays current with most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications and standards of practice. Probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Hackensack Meridian Health policies and procedures (e.g. HIPAA/Privacy Act, quality assurance, safety, operations, personnel). Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments. Other duties and/or projects as assigned. 10. Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Bachelors degree Entry level experience PC skills and its applicable applications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
Acute care clinical or related experience
Licenses and Certifications Required:

Starting Minimum Rate:
Minimum rate of $33.43
