Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to addressing the physical, emotional, and social aspects of recovery, empowering patients to achieve lasting wellness. Nutrition is a vital part of this process, and we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our care team. Position Summary The Clinical Dietitian will provide nutrition assessments, individualized care plans, and education to patients in various stages of recovery from drug and alcohol dependence. This role focuses on restoring patients' nutritional health, managing medical conditions, and promoting long-term wellness strategies that support sustained recovery. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for newly admitted patients. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and therapists. Educate patients on healthy eating, hydration, and the connection between nutrition and recovery. Address nutritional deficiencies and related health conditions such as liver disease, gastrointestinal disorders, and metabolic concerns. Facilitate group nutrition education sessions for patients in treatment. Document all assessments, interventions, and progress notes in the patient's medical record. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field required. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required. Nevada state dietitian-nutritionist license (or eligibility). Previous experience in clinical nutrition, preferably within behavioral health, addiction treatment, or rehabilitation settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding of the unique nutritional challenges faced by individuals in recovery. Preferred Skills Experience in group education and counseling. Familiarity with motivational interviewing and patient-centered care. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Pay:
$36.00 per hour
