Job Description

Life Choices Center is seeking a compassionate and mission-driven Registered Dietitian to join our team in serving women, men, and families throughout our community. This position provides nutrition education, individualized support, and practical guidance to clients navigating pregnancy, parenting, and overall wellness needs. The ideal candidate is relational, organized, collaborative, and passionate about supporting clients through evidence-based nutrition care delivered with dignity, compassion, and respect. Position Summary The Registered Dietitian will provide nutrition assessments, education, and counseling to clients participating in Life Choices Center programs. This role collaborates closely with program staff to support client goals, promote healthy outcomes, and strengthen access to practical nutrition resources. Responsibilities Provide individualized nutrition counseling and education to clients Conduct nutrition assessments and develop appropriate care plans Support pregnant and postpartum clients with nutrition-related education and goal setting Facilitate nutrition classes, workshops, or group education opportunities Maintain accurate and timely client documentation Collaborate with staff and community partners to coordinate client support services Assist with development of educational materials and nutrition resources Maintain professional standards consistent with Registered Dietitian credentialing requirements Participate in team meetings, trainings, and program development initiatives Qualifications Registered Dietitian credential required Current licensure/certification in New York State, or ability to obtain Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds Experience in maternal health, community nutrition, counseling, or nonprofit settings preferred Commitment to compassionate, client-centered care Strong organizational and documentation skills
Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
