  • 66/HR (Local Pay) Position Overview A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a qualified Dietitian to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and comprehensive nutrition assessments in an inpatient setting.
The role involves working with patients across all age groups, including infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, with a focus on improving clinical outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care. Key Responsibilities Conduct nutrition assessments and provide Medical Nutrition Therapy across all patient populations Perform nutrition screening and malnutrition assessments using established tools Diagnose, intervene, and monitor malnutrition to improve patient outcomes and reduce length of stay Implement physician-directed nutrition protocols and facility-specific dietary processes Initiate and modify diet orders, supplements, and nutrition interventions as needed Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families Manage enteral and parenteral nutrition therapies Adjust nutrition support based on energy needs, lab values, and patient condition Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives Attend patient care rounds, departmental meetings, and professional development activities Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record system Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications Education & Certification:
Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required Active state licensure (if applicable) required CNSC (Certified Nutrition Support Clinician) certification preferred
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 2+ years of inpatient clinical dietitian experience preferred Pediatric experience preferred Critical Care experience preferred Experience providing Medical Nutrition Therapy required Strong knowledge of nutrition assessments and malnutrition diagnosis Experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition support preferred Familiarity with therapeutic diets, supplements, and nutrition protocols Strong documentation and patient counseling skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) required Additional Information Inpatient Dietitian role 13-week contract assignment Monday-Friday schedule Day shift hours One opening available Pediatric and Critical Care experience highly preferred CNSC certification preferred Strong focus on quality improvement and interdisciplinary collaboration Immediate start opportunity Supportive and collaborative healthcare environment For more details reach at or Call / Text at 732-791-4827 .
