19 annually Full benefits package included Position Summary The Oncology Dietitian will assess the nutritional status of cancer patients, develop individualized nutrition care plans, and provide ongoing education and support throughout treatment. This role works closely with an interdisciplinary oncology care team to ensure integrated, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Assess and monitor nutritional needs of oncology patients Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans Provide education and counseling to patients, families, and healthcare providers Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team Apply evidence-based nutrition guidelines and stay current on oncology nutrition research Support infection control standards and hospital performance improvement initiatives Utilize electronic health records to document assessments and interventions Support patient rights and promote high-quality patient-centered care Participate in cost containment and quality improvement efforts Perform other related duties as assigned Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited program Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required Minimum of 3 years of clinical nutrition experience preferred, oncology focus strongly preferred Oncology Nutrition Certification (CSO) or willingness to obtain within 1 year of hire Experience with electronic health records systems required Strong background in patient education and communication Core Competencies Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment Work Environment May involve exposure to clinical and chemical agents in accordance with hospital safety protocols Must adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards Why This Role?
