We are seeking a compassionate Registered Dietitian - Oncology to join our award-winning healthcare team. Duties & Responsibilities Clinical Nutritional Care Nutritional Assessment:
Comprehensive evaluation of cancer patients ' nutritional health, proactively identifying specific needs and setting clinical priorities.
Personalized Care Plans:
Develop and implement customized nutritional interventions tailored to support patients before, during, and after cancer treatments.
Evidence-Based Practice:
Stay at the forefront of oncology care by integrating the latest nutrition research, oncology guidelines, and cost-containment practices into everyday care.
Empowering Advocacy:
Identify the specific learning needs of patients and families, providing clear, comforting guidance on managing treatment side effects through nutrition.
Integrated Care:
Collaborate dynamically with the broader healthcare team to ensure seamless, holistic medical care for every oncology patient.
Community & Professional Education:
Provide insightful educational presentations to healthcare providers, staff, and the public regarding oncology nutrition.
Clinical Governance:
Incorporate patient rights into daily practice, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and maintain strict infection control protocols.
Professional Alignment:
Understand and adhere to organizational performance standards, behavioral policies, and compliance guidelines. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
Credentials:
Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Technical Skills:
Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems.
Core Competencies:
Strong public speaking and presentation skills with a proven track record in patient education.
Onboarding:
Successful completion of department programs and the facility orientation process upon hire.
Desired Qualifications Clinical Experience:
3 or more years of experience in clinical nutrition, with a strong, dedicated focus on oncology care.
Specialty Certification:
Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO) credential (or a commitment to successfully complete certification within 1 year of hire).
Location and Work Type Work Type:
Full-Time, Direct Hire Permanent Position.
Shift Information:
Highly desirable daytime schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00
PM Work Setting:
On-site within our state-of-the-art oncology care setting.
Salary Range:
$63,386.31 - $95,090.19 annually (Dependent upon experience).
