Day Shift 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM 35 Hours Per Week 5
Days Per Week Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Dietician for an inpatient healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will assess patients' nutritional needs, provide diet education, monitor food and drug interactions, and collaborate with physicians regarding nutrition care plans and therapeutic diet modifications.
Responsibilities:
Screen and assess patients accurately and timely based on levels of care Determine patient nutritional needs and provide follow-up care Interview patients and families regarding dietary habits and preferences Interpret laboratory, physical, and social data related to nutrition care Provide nutrition education and document patient understanding Monitor and educate patients regarding food and drug interactions Consult with physicians regarding diet modifications Modify patient menus and therapeutic diet plans as needed Maintain accurate clinical documentation in medical records Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition required Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required Minimum 2 years of inpatient experience required Strong clinical nutrition and patient education experience required Excellent communication and documentation skills required Master's Degree preferred CDCES certification preferred CNSC certification preferred AHA BLS Certification preferred Spanish speaking preferred
