Summit County Public Health is seeking a WIC Manager to work full time in our Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) program Monday through Friday. This is an exempt position with a standard 35-hour work week. WIC provides essential resources to pregnant women, new mothers, breastfeeding mothers, and young children, offering nutrition education and health referrals. The WIC Manager supports our WIC Program by managing WIC operations, working closely with the State of Ohio to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines, and collaborating with community partners and SCPH staff to support our mission. This role is vital in promoting healthy choices and lifelong wellness for families across Summit County. General Duties Maintains all standard duties of a WIC Supervisor while serving as the Director of WIC for Summit County. Acts as the primary point of contact for the Ohio Department of Health Nutrition Administrative Services (NAS) consultant and the State WIC agency. Manages daily local WIC operations, including fiscal management, certification, nutrition/breastfeeding education, food issuance, caseload management, and outreach. Ensures adherence to all Ohio WIC policies and procedures and federal WIC regulations. Oversees fiscal allocations, calculates program cost methodologies, and handles workload-based staff scheduling. Leads the development, implementation, and continuous quality improvement evaluation of grant proposals, work plans, and strategic initiatives. Fosters relationships with community partners to enhance collaboration and works to actively influence policy as it relates to WIC policies and procedures. Completes additional special assignments and specialized projects as required. Qualifications Baccalaureate Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics required. Must be registered through the Commission on Dietetic Registry with the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Must be a licensed dietitian through the Ohio Medical Board. Must have a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience. Valid Ohio driver's license, automobile availability, and liability insurance required.
