Job Description

Role Overview A licensed Dietician is urgently needed to support a skilled nursing facility in Geneva, Ohio , providing high-quality nutritional care to a geriatric population. This part-time role (15 hours/week) focuses on resident assessments, care planning, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal nutritional outcomes.

Immediate / urgent hiring need Key Responsibilities Nutritional Assessments — Conduct comprehensive evaluations for geriatric residents, including risk screenings and individualized nutrition plans. Care Plan Development — Create and update nutrition care plans aligned with medical diagnoses, dietary restrictions, and resident preferences. Interdisciplinary Collaboration — Work closely with nursing, therapy, dietary staff, and physicians to support holistic resident care. Regulatory Compliance — Ensure documentation and practices meet state and federal long-term care guidelines. Menu Oversight — Review menus for nutritional adequacy, therapeutic diets, and resident satisfaction. Education & Training — Provide guidance to dietary staff on safe food practices, portioning, and specialized diets. Monitoring & Follow-Up — Track progress, adjust interventions, and document outcomes. Required Qualifications Active Ohio Dietician License (LD or RD/LD). Experience with geriatric patients in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings. Strong understanding of chronic disease management, dysphagia diets, and nutritional risk factors in older adults. Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
