Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Certified Dietary Manager to oversee our dietary services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive knowledge of nutrition and dietetics, and have experience managing dietary departments. This role involves coordinating meal planning, supervising staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional nutritional care tailored to our residents' needs.
Duties:
Supervise dietary staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to maintain high service quality. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring safety protocols are followed and meal presentation is of the highest standard. Manage dietary department operations including budgeting, inventory control, and procurement of supplies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop care plans that incorporate physiology knowledge and specialized nutrition interventions. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to nutrition services. Supervise the preparation of specialized diets. Experience Proven management experience within a dietary department in an assisted living or similar healthcare setting. Demonstrated expertise in dietetics, nutrition science, and physiology relevant to elderly care. Experience conducting patient assessments and developing individualized care plans based on health conditions. Supervisory experience with dietary staff, including training and performance management. Knowledge of budgeting practices related to food service operations in healthcare environments. Familiarity with care plans involving assisted living residents with diverse nutritional needs such as tube feeding or diagnostic evaluation requirements. Strong leadership skills complemented by excellent communication abilities aimed at fostering teamwork and delivering quality resident care.
