false Springfield, OR | Full Time Posted 7 days ago Description PeaceHealth is seeking a Dietitian II for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $36.46 - $54.68. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. Job Summary This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of nutrition care, consulting with other healthcare professionals as needed. Essential Functions Competent use of the Nutrition Care Process including: nutrition assessment, identification of nutritional diagnosis, implementation of appropriate nutrition intervention, and formulation of patient specific goals, monitoring, evaluation and follow up of oues. Using evidence-based nutrition practice guidelines to provide nutrition education to patients and families in the outpatient and/or inpatient settings. Provides consult services to other healthcare providers and participates in the interdisciplinary team. Uses evidence-based nutrition practice guidelines Documents in the EMR in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations. When appropriate, makes referrals to other services, agencies andmunity resources. Actively contributes to Quality/Process Improvement measures within the department and throughout the hospital including planning, implementing, and evaluating programs. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education
Master's Degree Required:
in a related field of study. Caregivers who earned their RD license before 1/1/2024 when a bachelor's degree was sufficient will be grandfatd. Experience Minimum of 3 years

Experience in a related setting as a Registered Dietitian Credentials

Upon Hire National Dietitian Certifications Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), or Certified Nutrition Support Clinician, or Board Certified Specialist in - Oncology Nutrition, Renal Nutrition, Pediatric Nutrition, Sports Dietetics, Gerontological Nutrition, or Nutrition Wound Care, as applicable to work performed is required. (See alternative certification requirement for Bariatrics) and May be required: Upon Hire Licensed Dietitian - Oregon Required only for Outpatient and PHMG/Ambulatory Dietitians in OR. Inpatient Dietitians are not required to maintain state certification and May be required: Current Medicare provider status number Skills Demonstrated skill in teaching adults of varyingpetency levels. (Required) Must be able to design, implement, and evaluate instructional modules. (Required) Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills. (Required) Ability to interact with all a variety of departments and to work independently on numerous projects simultaneously. (Required) Proficient in the use ofputers including MS Office applications. (Required) Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs. (Required) Department / Location Specific Notes
Bariatric Surgery Dietitians:
Provides one-on-one nutrition counseling, teaching group nutrition classes, and leading support groups. Participates in program events, including information sessions, pre/postoperative weight loss groups, and bariatric forums. Specialist certification in Obesity and Weight management issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration required or must obtain within 12 months of hire. Working Conditions Lifting Frequent moving around work area. Frequent grasping, reaching. Frequent lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs. Occasional squatting/ kneeling/ bending. Environmental Conditions Time spent on site in medical/hospital setting or in office environment. Mental/Visual Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted). Ability tomunicate and exchange accurate information.
