Edenbrook on Second Avenue, a well-established and a trusted provider in the skilled nursing space located in Kingston, PA, and a proud member of Eden East, is looking for a Dietary Manager to lead and manage the nutritional services within our healthcare facility.
Position:
Dietary Manager Overview:
The successful candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of dietetics, and experience working with long-term care populations. This role is responsible for overseeing dietary operations, developing individualized nutrition care plans, and ensuring compliance with all applicable health, safety, and regulatory standards. The Dietary Manager will play an essential role in supporting resident health, wellness, and quality of life through effective dietary management and personalized nutrition strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the dietary department to ensure high-quality food service and nutrition Develop and maintain individualized nutrition care plans based on resident assessments Plan and supervise meal preparation to meet therapeutic, specialized, and medically prescribed diets Conduct nutritional assessments and monitor outcomes to support resident health Supervise dietary staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management Manage departmental budgets, inventory, and purchasing processes Ensure compliance with all nutrition, safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate nutrition into overall care plans Monitor and document the effectiveness of dietary interventions
Qualifications:
Certified as a Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred but not required Prior leadership experience in dietary services within a healthcare or senior living setting Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietetics, and care planning Experience with modified diets and nutritional support methods Proven ability to lead teams and maintain regulatory compliance Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills This opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on residents' quality of life while working in a supportive and professional care environment. #INDSAVLEAD
