Job Description

THE POSITION
Do you have a passion for delivering exceptional nutritional care, especially to Pennsylvania's most vulnerable populations? The Clinical Dietitian with the Department of Human Services plays a key role in supporting the health and well-being of individuals at Selinsgrove Center. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides nutritional care for Individuals with developmental disabilities and supports the overall operation of dietary services at Selinsgrove Center. It ensures that each Individual receives appropriate assessments, meal planning, and nutritional guidance. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will perform the following duties:
Assess Nutrition:
Complete timely nutritional assessments, charting, and care recommendations
Maintain Records:
Update diet information in living area files, dietary systems, and computerized management tools
Plan Menus:
Implement dietary changes, support therapeutic diets, and assist with menu planning for events
Train Staff:
Provide instruction to direct care and food service staff on diet needs and procedures
Support Teams:
Participate in individual support plan (ISP) meetings, team discussions, and committee work related to nutrition
Ensure Safety:
Follow all policies, procedures, and safety rules to maintain continuous food service operations
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 1st shift (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirement:
This position requires active certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) as issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, or proof of eligibility for such certification.
