THE POSITION

The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is seeking a motivated and dedicated Clinical Dietitian to join our Dietary Services team. In this important role, you will coordinate, oversee, and evaluate the therapeutic diet program at the Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home, ensuring residents receive high-quality, individualized nutritional care. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will ensure optimal nutritional status of residents by planning, implementing, and evaluating nutritional interventions. You will be responsible for conducting nutritional assessments, as well as completing documentation and formal care plans for each resident, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Your duties will include writing and reviewing nutritional care plans; making dietetic recommendations aligned with physicians' orders and dietary needs; and planning or modifying standard and therapeutic menus to meet medical orders, nutritional standards, and quality. In addition, you will also consult with residents to provide guidance on diet restrictions and give special instructions to staff for preparing special diet foods. Work is performed with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment within the scope of education and experience. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:
You must possess certification as a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or proof of eligibility for such certification.
