Clinical Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist Piscataway, NJ 08854 Hybrid work $36.04 - $45.00 an hour - Part-time $36.04 - $45.00 an hour - Part-time Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Clinical Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, where you will play a vital role in promoting optimal health and well-being through personalized nutrition care. In this engaging position, you will assess patient needs, develop tailored care plans, and provide expert guidance to support recovery and long-term health. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes across diverse clinical settings, including acute care, geriatrics, and long-term care environments. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status, medical history, and dietary needs. Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans aligned with medical diagnoses and treatment goals. Provide expert guidance on specialized nutrition interventions such as tube feeding, weight management, and dietary modifications for chronic conditions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring nutritional strategies support overall treatment plans. Educate patients and their families on nutrition principles, lifestyle changes, and health coaching techniques to foster long-term wellness. Monitor patient progress through regular evaluations, adjusting care plans as necessary based on diagnostic evaluations and clinical response. Document all interventions accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems and maintain detailed records of patient interactions. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, and dietetics principles applicable to diverse populations including geriatrics and acute care patients. Experience supervising dietetic staff or interns, demonstrating leadership in a clinical setting. Proficiency in using EMR systems for documentation and patient tracking. Expertise in managing dietary needs related to tube feeding, weight loss programs, and specialized diets for chronic illnesses. Familiarity with hospital protocols, diagnostic evaluation procedures, and care planning processes. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate health coaching abilities to motivate positive lifestyle changes.
