The ideal candidate will guide clients on their journey toward optimal health through a root-cause, whole-person approach to nutrition and lifestyle medicine. This role emphasizes the integration of clinical nutrition, functional medicine principles, and behavioral health strategies to create personalized, sustainable care plans.
The Integrative Clinical Dietitian will assess nutritional status in the context of gut health, metabolic function, inflammation, and overall wellness, and provide evidence-based recommendations that support the body's natural healing processes. This position requires a strong understanding of nutrition science, supplementation, lifestyle interventions, and mind-body connections to effectively educate, empower, and motivate clients in achieving their health goals. Job Duties and Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive, root-cause-focused nutrition assessments evaluating diet, lifestyle, and overall health. Develop and implement individualized care plans using integrative and functional nutrition approaches. Interpret labs, diagnostics, and patient history to guide personalized recommendations. Provide one-on-one counseling and coaching to support sustainable behavior change and health outcomes. Educate patients on the role of nutrition in gut health, hormones, immune function, and chronic disease prevention. Recommend therapeutic diets and targeted supplementation as appropriate. Document all patient care accurately in the EMR and maintain compliance with clinic standards. Collaborate with providers and contribute to program development, patient education, and ongoing clinical excellence. Required Qualifications Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential with current licensure in the state of Missouri (or eligibility to obtain licensure). Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field from an accredited program. Training or certification in Integrative and/or Functional Medicine (e.g., IFM, A4M, functional nutrition programs, or similar) with experience applying a root-cause, systems-based approach to patient care, including gut health, hormone balance, metabolic health, and inflammation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Passion for ongoing education and staying current with emerging research in integrative and functional nutrition. Strong organizational skills and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with interpreting advanced laboratory testing (e.g., micronutrient panels, stool testing, hormone testing, food sensitivities). Experience recommending and managing nutritional supplementation protocols. Experience leading workshops, group programs, or patient education initiatives is a plus. Job Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods (Typically 6-8 hours per day). Ability to work at a computer, including typing and using a mouse, for prolonged periods. Ability to lift or move up to 20 lbs, such as office supplies, small packages, or files. Ability to perform repetitive hand movements for typing and document handling. Ability to tolerate long periods of screen time.
