Job Description

Nutritionist - Hybrid Elder Services of Worcester Area, Inc. (ESWA) is seeking a Nutritionist to serve as the agency's subject matter expert, providing nutrition assessment, counseling, education, and menu planning services to older adults and individuals with disabilities. This role supports both Executive Office of Aging and Independence (AGE) programs and MassHealth Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) services, including medically tailored meals and food access initiatives. The Nutritionist collaborates with internal staff, healthcare partners, and community organizations to improve health outcomes, reduce food insecurity, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management, or a related field is required. Must also be Registered Dietitian (RD) and Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LD/LDN) with at least two years of relevant experience. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of general nutrition principles, food service operations, menu planning, and applicable regulatory requirements. Multilingual skills are a plus and highly valued in our diverse environment. This hybrid role requires excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills, along with strong prioritization and problem-solving abilities. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and take initiative while also collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary team and building positive relationships with providers, participants, and community partners. The role demands the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, maintain accurate records, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, including presenting nutrition education to individuals and large groups. Candidates must also have moderate physical mobility, including the ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and climb stairs as needed. Computer proficiency is required, including experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Outlook.
Compensation and Benefits:
Non-negotiable Salary:
$64,506 to $65,520 annually for a full time position
Staged Hiring Bonus:
