We are seeking a passionate and experienced Long Term Care Corporate Dietitian to join their team and contribute to their mission of delivering exceptional care.
Position Summary:
The Long Term Care Corporate Dietitian is responsible for overseeing the nutritional and dietary services across our long-term care facilities. This role involves developing and implementing nutrition programs, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and providing training and support to facility dietitians and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical nutrition, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to improving the health and well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development and Implementation:
Develop and oversee nutrition programs and policies for all long-term care facilities. Implement standardized menus and meal plans that meet residents' nutritional needs and preferences. Ensure all dietary services comply with state, federal, and company regulations.
Clinical Support and Resident Care:
Provide clinical nutrition support and consultation for complex cases. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure the nutritional needs of residents are met. Develop individualized nutrition care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
Training and Education:
Conduct training sessions for dietitians, food service managers, and staff on best practices in nutrition and food safety. Create educational materials and resources for staff and residents. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in clinical nutrition and long-term care.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Perform regular site visits to assess and ensure compliance with nutritional standards. Monitor and analyze dietary service performance metrics and implement improvements. Prepare and submit reports on dietary services, compliance, and resident satisfaction.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with facility administrators, healthcare teams, and kitchen staff to ensure cohesive dietary services. Serve as a liaison between corporate headquarters and individual facilities. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning and decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical nutrition, with at least 1 years in a long-term care setting. Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to dietary services in long-term care. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to travel to various long-term care facilities as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in gerontological nutrition. Experience in a corporate or multi-facility management role. Proficiency with nutrition management software.
